Venum has really upped their Gi line this year.$69
Dear BJJ HQ Customers, We take concerns from athletes very seriously. Twelve months ago we launch a new BJJ Gi collection that would allow everyone to find what they are looking for based on their needs. As we do with all combat sports, we always partner with the best athletes to make the best gear available. BJJ is no exception and since 2010 we have partnered with World Champion Leandro Lo, Rodolfo Vieira and many more to create the best uniform for the athlete.Unfortunately, we realize that our launch came with some problems with regards to the pants. Our Fitted pant doesn.t fit everyone, as it should. Not all bodies are the same and as result, the pants might not fit everyone. Please be aware that we have rectified the situation recently and improved the fit. If you have any problems with your pants, Venum will gladly help you and send you a new pair of pants if needed. We can assure you that we always do our best to answer everyone questions and concerns in a timely matter. Since July, we have implemented on venum.com a live chat service available during the weekdays (m-f, 9am-5:30pm PST). Someone will help you right away. And if you want have questions or want to leave some feedbacks, please feel free to email me directly at matt@venum.com.As we continue to build our BJJ history, our goal will remain the same: To Always Improve & To Innovate. As we move from one collection to another, we will bring better design, better fit, better stitching, better patches and better materials. That will always be our goal.Thank you for your time and have a great BJJ Season.Regards,Mathieu SoulieGM North America VENUM
Yes, I had the same issue to the point that the pants are unusable. I emailed their customer service and received no response. Horrible customer service, especially when there are so many other brands out there. I will never purchase another venom product; what's the use if you can't even use it?
Yes same thing, pants are unusable. I'm probably just going to sell mine (for next to nothing, as no one will pay much for a random pair of pants) to someone at the gym maybe. The only person they seem to fit ok so far is a new petite Asian girl who I'm guessing would normally be about a size A1. The top I'm probably just going to use with a pair of old white pants I have (top is navy blue), but in all I feel like I've wasted a fair bit of money.
@Nick - You are referring to Venum's customer service ignoring you, not BJJHQ's, correct?
The pants do suck!! However they make comfortable ass pj's for around the house!!!! I had an extra pair of vulkan pants that I use with venom top, it may not match but we do bleed all over our gi so I'm not too worried about that!
Has anyone else had a problem with the sizing of the pants in the venum gi's? I bought the absolute 2.0 a few weeks ago in an A3. I'm like an A2 in the body and an A3 in arm and leg length. After checking the sizing charts and all the measurements and comparing them to my other gi's the A3 seemed to measure up. The top feels good, after a few washes depending on shrinkage the sleeves may creep up a little like others have on me, but it should be ok. The pants are already a little short straight out of the bag (even though the sizing chart shows that they should be long enough easy) but the main thing is I can barely even fully squat down in them before they become tight. Even another guy at the gym who has all A2 gis and fits them all fine, can't squat down in them properly?
