Platinum Samurai Gi

Platinum is back with another intricate and unique Gi design: the brand new Samurai Gi. Only 150 Gis produced, so yours will have its own unique ID label sewn inside the lapel: Limited Edition 25/150, Limited Edition 98/150, etc.

The "Samurai" features a sturdy 450 GSM Pearl Weave jacket with an all-out rashguard lining. From the very bottom of the skirt to the top of the collar and all the way down to the forearms, it's lined with soft moisture-wicking lycra. This lightweight liner adds a new level of comfort to your Gi's interior and is one of the features that make Platinum Gis stand out from the crowd. Full color artwork is sublimated into the material, so you can be certain that the Samurai graphics stay rich and detailed no matter how hard or how often you train.

A convenient inner pocket, made of ripstop cotton, is sewn inside the jacket for easy storage of your mouthguard. Graphic seam taping runs along the cuffs and skirt, adding comfort to the wrist and ankle openings as well protecting the interior stitch lines. The strong Gi jacket and 10 oz ripstop pants both feature high-quality embroideries and matching green trim. Pants are equipped with multiple loops that secure the drawstring in place as you roll. The drawstring itself is a thick round stretch cord, very sturdy and easy to tie and untie. Other specs include reinforced knee panels and triple-stitched stress points.

I hated this gi. It felt like wearing a sauna suit. Patch work started to shred after only a couple uses.

I'm pretty sure that this is the only place it's being sold and since it's only been on sale for a hour I have a hard time believing that you received it and wore it to a class already.

He's probably referring to an earlier model. All Platinum gis are lined with rashguard material.

I own multiple Platinum GI's, including some of the very first runs and have never had any problems with the patch work. I my self do not find the rashguard lining being hot. To be honest I actually prefer to train now with my Platinum GI's because I enjoy the feeling of the guard inside.

Kinda looks like the Punisher. The Samurai graphics are cool but I think people would be lining up to choke me unconscious if came to class wearing this one!

Wow! Looks great. What size recommendation for 5'10 and 197lbs? What would be the shrinkage? Is it preshrunk?
