93 Brand debuts their new Daruma shorts right here, right now. Taking inspiration from the traditional Japanese dolls, the rounded edges of which ensure they never fall over without bouncing right back up. This Fall Down 7 Times, Stand Up 8 mentality is often cited by and inspiring to BJJ players. The doll's face is where these shorts' front graphic comes from, while the kanji on the back leg is that saying which frequently accompanies the Daruma: Fall Down 7 Times, Stand Up 8.
The waist closure is perfect, utilizing a partially elastic core throughout the rear waistband. Just enough to keep your shorts firmly in place during wrestling scrambles or wild ground exchanges. We've all dealt with bulky closure systems that dig into your gut... But once you use 93 Brand shorts, you'll never put up with that again. Whether you're inverting or playing sit-up guard, the slim-design two-way closure keeps your shorts' waistband perfectly in place without digging upward.
Woohoo! Just snagged these, I love my Kleos shorts and the design on these is sick!!!
Glad you like!
Are these a true-to-size fit, or a little slim? I bought a 36 in the Bad Boy Shorts and they were too small, as in I couldn't close the Velcro strap. I'm wondering if I should get the 38s or the 40s?
Since the fabric on these is nice and stretchy, they're true to fit and pretty accommodating.
This is an act of faith, please do not disappoint me. 2 good 2 B TRU
are these 4 way stretch?
Yes. It is the same stretch as all the 93 brand shorts.
bought the 28a
I never had a 93 brand shorts. I wear only 4 way stretch like surf shorts.
