93 Brand rewrites the book on standard Gis with this one, as they're able to maintain their great fit, production quality, and incredibly comfortable materials while bringing a significant price drop to the table. They've simply removed all the logos and frills, which allows them to offer a well-made Gi that's just as durable and reliable as the most expensive Gis out there. And that's no exaggeration... Compare the Standard Issue's jacket weave, pants fabric, overall integrity, and number of reinforcements to the priciest Gi at your gym or in your own rotation. There's no doubt it will meet or surpass. At $65, that's very impressive.
For you old school guys who want no patches on your Gi - not even the manufacturer label at the bottom of the lapel - this is the one. There's literally no accent trim, contrast stitching, patches, or embroideries on the exterior of this Gi. It's quality, through and through, using premium fabrics such as the tried and true 425 GSM High Tech Pearl and 10 oz twill pants. High-stress areas are triple-stitched with heavy threads. Knee reinforcements extend to the bottom hem so your knees stay covered no matter your position, as well as eliminating the horizontal stitch that you'll find at the bottom of knee reinforcements that don't extend fully (you'll notice this seam is the most commonly ripped area on less made trousers... but it's never an issue with 93 Brand). Also includes a thick cord drawstring and multiple loops. To sum it up, the Standard Issue has all the perks and benefits of a finely crafted modern BJJ uniform, at virtually half the price.
Belt not included.
5 foot 5 170 lbs stocky build what would be best size to get
You're on the cusp of A1 and A2 (if you were 5 lbs lighter, the A1 would be perfect, but you don't want to risk the A1 being too tight after washing). So it's best to grab the A2 and shrink to fit. A warm wash will take out some shrinkage, with one cycle in your machine on Medium Heat if necessary.
How much will these shrink? i'm 5'9" 160 lbs. Will the A1L shrink too much?
A1L should be just fine post-wash. Cold wash / hang dry as recommended by manufacturer.
I am 5'7" 185 to 190lb. What size is best? Thanks.
Your height puts you in an A2 (an A1 would be too snug), though your height is more of an A1. That's ok though, just grab the A2 and give it a warm wash to take out a little shrinkage, then hang dry and you should be A-OK!
5'11"-6', 250lbs. A2H?
If i am 5'7 and currently weigh 165 lbs, what size would best be suited for me?
I own an A2 of one of these, and its alittle big after washing and drying. I'm 5'9" 165-72lbs, would a A1 fit me better?
It is not recommended but I've washed and dried this gi since I got it (6months ago). I'm 6'2, 160 pounds, got the A2L. I'd guess I lost 1-1.5 inches from the pants length, .5 in from the sleeve length, n maybe an inch from the skirt. Overall it stays pretty true to fit if you're like me and w/d gis.
I'm 5'10" 220lbs 36" waist. Would the a2h be to big in the waist?
5'6 145lbs, I'm going with the A1....any reason I shouldn't and go with A1F(Fitted) instead??
A1 is perfect. A1F would probably work as well, but it'd be more of a fitted look).
itd be awesome if we could choose between this one or the blue. either way gonnna have to grab one!!
