It appears to be ibjjf legal, and imo seems good for comp due to its foam collar and 450gsm jacket

Almost everything from Strikewear is IBJJF legal; it's just their fun colored Gis that are not.

A1L seems like it would be a nice fit

I don't have this brand, but I would probably say it is too big. I'm 5'1", and the Gis I purchased that are for 5'2"-5'4" were too large on me. Their A1 is listed for 5'3"-5'7" (120/155lbs); I wouldn't risk it for myself.

I understand; I do too. I have to stick to women's gis for the most part. Most men's gis are too large, and even the ones that have smaller sizes don't come up on BJJHQ very often.

I was surprised to encounter this thread. I came down here to grump about how hard it is for a 6'2" 265 lb guy with a 52 inch chest and 40 inch waist to find a gi that fits. This is a beautiful gi, but with only 4 sizes I don't dare even try. Having to resort to kid's gis must suck just as badly. Good luck man.

I wish they would put stuff on here more often for smaller people. Girls like me don't have many options, everything on here is always to big. I wait everyday to see what the new item is in hopes they have my size :(
