The Vengence spelling is a valid spelling, NO MISTAKE! It is street slang, "Violence for Violence". I chose to spell it in this manner plain and simple. The gi is IBJJF legal and has been worn many times at pan ams, worlds, etc. The gi does shrink 5% and wash instructions are on our website. Questions or pics on ibjjf tournaments worn in you can email me, miitsu @ hakaisports.com.

Maybe. I purchased a full rip stop gi a year and half ago - I'll tell you the Pros and Cons if you want MHO - and engaged with an IBJJF official through email prior to one of the Miami tourneys. The gentleman was very polite, even going so far as to visit the website and read up on the gi. In the end he said it would be up to the person officiating my fights. I get his point - they leave ultimate discretion for gray areas in the hands of the guys who can touch your gi. I decided not to risk it so I don't know what the final answer would have been. Anecdotally, I have never seen one at an IBBJ tourney nor do I know anyone who has - but mine is not obviously rip stop unless you are standing very close so I may have seen plenty and not known it.

So Aaron, I tried purchasing this, and when i clicked "buy this" after all the information has been filled in the screen wouldn't do anything. The second time I tried it after waiting a prolonged amount of time, I put in all the correct information then it would stay on the information screen and highlight the zip code area saying that "this is not a actual zip code" or something along those lines. on top of all that... i cant contact your customer service to even drop an email so that i can figure out what to do... getting kinda ticked.

    Sorry for the frustration.

Are you sure you have the correct country selected (it's a default so easy to miss). If you're still having trouble, best thing is to clear you cookies close your browser and try again.

Customer service is at cs@mmahq.com and works regular business hours.

Just FYI, when I was buying this GI, country was filled by default to "United States" and I could not change it

    Never tried this brand before.

Anyone with familiarity have any comments on it?

Yeah, its all ripstop. Other than the spelling error it's a good gi, especially during summer.

I know that they have a weird explanation of why they call it "Vengence", but it just looks like it was a spelling error.
