Jiu Jitsu players have looked to the Gameness Pearl for years to get a reliable Gi that is light in weight and strong in design.$50
is this a good Gi for a new BJJ student?
Any gi on this site would fit that description.
Sure is. This Gi is: inexpensive reliable not flashy. Those are the 3 traits new students, generally, should look for. -Pricey Gis are bad because, hey, for all you know you'll like Nogi better! -Flimsy Gis are bad because... they're flimsy -Flashy Gis are great if that's your thing, but generally not for new students since you don't want to be 10x flashier than the guys 10x more experienced than you ;)
Jeff, definitely a solid gi. At this price I would grab one up!
Jeff, it's definitely a solid gi. Have 3 Gameness gis and have been impressed with all of them. At this price I'd highly recommend it.
I have this gi in white, and I would highly recommend this to anyone. Whether you're just starting out or a 3 stripe purple belt, this gi needs to be added to the arsenal.
Female / 5'2" / 120 lbs

Gi size: A0

This is my 3rd gi so far. I washed/shrunk it once and the pants are perfect. The jacket is a bit long in the torso compared to my 93brand mandrill, and the arms are long as well (which is true of my mandrill, too), but the pictures kinda hint at the torso length (so it is off no ones fault but my own if I don't like it). I've yet to roll hard in this one, but it feels nice and light in general. I've rustled around in it a bit, but hopefully I can finally test it on the mat on Thursday...

I am 5.9 225 is the A2S okay for me
I'd go A3. You can always shrink it if it's a bit too big.
so the fact that I am 225 and it says 200 lbs max...i will be okay next question too...how do i shrink it...
5'11'', 152 lbs, would you suggest an A2? I've worn A2 in other Gameness gi's just want to make sure.
5'11'', 152 lbs, would A2 work?
Any Gameness Elite gi??
I'm 6'2 240 and have really long arms. should I get a3L or a4?
A3L, no doubt!
Any Moya Brand Gi's in the near future?
No, none planned.
