Just remember guys, if you are a white belt and planning to compete in an IBJJF sanctioned tournament, you cannot wear a black Gi! Must be white or blue for white belts. State or local tournaments, you can wear whatever color you want usually... just a side note.
White belts are allowed to compete in white, blue or black gi under IBBJF rules. There is no ruling at all against white belts wearing black gis in competition. Rule 8.1.2 Gis must be of uniform color, of which the following are permissable: white, royal blue or black. Gis where the tops and pants are of different colors are not permitted; nor are gis where the collar is of a different color from the rest of the top. Use of a shirt under the gi top is prohibited (except for women).
Im 174lbs at 5"11... What size GI should I get?
A3 I got an a4 when I was 240 and it was a bit big on me after it shrank, so an A3 would be perfect
Hmmm..I am 6'1" 215 and the A4 was too tight on my shoulders after one wash
I'm 165 and 6' tall (female). Got the A3 but find it's a bit short in length
thanks got the a3, lets hope it kicks ass!
