Anyone know the difference between this and a Summer Fuji Gi? Looking an affordable Gi and this price sounds good, but not sure if the extra money is worth it for the Summer version....

    Thanks.

This is a single weave and the summer is a pearl weave. I think that is the only difference.

If the pictures are correct, this is the lightweight gi. The pants that come with the single weave don't have the embroidered logo on the back. I have it in blue and love it, but it's really not that light.

the "summerweight", in my experience, isn't any lighter than this one. just a different weave. it feels almost exactly the same. i've branched out a bit, but i still use these fuji all arounds and a kassen for training and i love them for the price. i've never had a quality issue. my only gripe is the drawstring, but i swapped them out for stretchy ropes and all is well.

i'm 6'2" and about 250. the a5 fits fine after shrinkage. the pants are just a touch long on me but not long enough to make me want to have them hemmed. sleeves on the kimono are perfect. tough call.

I don't know, to my mind it's worth an extra $25 to be able to get a gi today, try it on first etc. It's still an ok deal I guess but for me it's not worth it for a $25 saving.

Is this gi just plain black and nothing is on it and you have to get the fugi patches sewn on or does it mean it comes with additional patches?

Just plain black and some embroidery. It comes with patches not shown in these pictures that you can sew on if you'd like
