I'm 5-9, about 175-180 lbs and wear a size L in the prior version.
FYI, if you have moved and change your shipping address, clicking "billing address is the same as shipping address" does NOT actually change your billing address. You have to manually type it in. Not sure if my order will go through now b/c of this.

Platinum 2017 Evil Geisha Gi

Please bring back at least some shoulder embroidery. Waited so long for this Gi, but can't help feel that "more toned down" is code for "cut costs". Aside from the inside, this Gi has little to elevate it from the pack, and this comes from a Platinum fan. I ordered it as soon as it dropped, and now studying it am a little disappointed, which is my own fault for not pausing.

Platinum Fu Dog 3.0 Gi

Maybe will help a little with people about sizing: I'm 5-9, 177lbs, slightly muscular build. I own a Platinum gi in A2 (I wear an A3 in Fuji). Was too large on me out of the box. Cold washed pants and hung dry, and they fit now well. The jacket I cold washed but had to put in the dryer on low for 15 minutes; it fits better on me now.

I have two pairs of these. I followed the wash instructions exactly, but the white Jaco lettering still peeled off. It does not bother me a whole lot, but they really should come up with something different.

I should add that I really like these shorts. I personally find them better for Muay Thai than BJJ due to their stretchiness (but that's only because of the warmups). They are still great for rolling and anything that requires flexibility.
