Unfortunately, BJJ HQ does not stand behind the products they sell.

If there is a quality issue with a product you have purchased from them they simply tell you to take it up with the manufacturer.

    Here is the policy.

Can I return a defective product?
Our bad. Don't ship it back. Shoot us an email at cs@BJJHQ.com and we'll take care of it for you.

Answer from customer service contradicts this defective product policy.

We cannot accept returns once an item is washed. Since we shipped the correct item, your follow-up would be with the manufacturer (considering that if there is a defect, it's a manufacturer's defect).

I'm probably going to have to apply for a charge back against these folks.

Munro - you wanted to return an item after washing it in vinegar, correct?

Once they (MMAHQ)shipped me a pair of gloves and they were the wrong size for my order. They took me at my word and sent me a new pair with a return slip for the other pair of gloves. I returned the pair of gloves and all was settled. No problems with customer service here.

I guess I sorta had a separate issue and I didn't use the product (washing constitutes use IMO). Why would one even bother washing a defective product?

Washing does constitute use. You wouldn't be able to return a product that you washed at any store, usually you're supposed to leave the tags on too..

Wow Munro, way to really shoot yourself in the foot with this one. You can't wash clothing and return it. What are you new?
