According to Lord Gordon, this gi and many others like it will be extinct. In 10 years, it'll be a wasteland of old used belts, gi tops, and gi pants sprawled across the country with no place to live in a brave no-gi world. :((

But every tournament I go to I have a bracket of like 20 plus purple belts and used to have like 35-40 at blue belt. But I only ever have like 5 or 6 guys in my nogi brackets at the same tournaments. BTW I've also noticed 0% crossover. Literally never went against somebody in gi in the morning and had em be signed up for nogi on the afternoon.
Gordon is no doubt the greatest nogi athlete on the scene. But I don't remember ever seeing him competing in a gi. When he'll do so and demonstrate that he is as much as good as in grappling, then he can speak about it. Until then, for what I care, he's just full of shit.
Oh cuz its so much more realistic to be practicing fighting someone buck ass naked (no grips to speak of) rather then the gi witch is supposed to simulate a shirt jacket pants which is WAY MORE LIKELY
