Get a Size UP on the standard issue gi if you purchase!! I am typically a women's size F3 in my other 93 Brand gi's. My F3 standard issue shrunk so much I can't wear it any longer, even though I only washed in cold and hung it dry. Hope this post helps someone not have the same troubels as myself! Osss

I've had a Marl, abd it shrunk from A3 to a slim fit A2.
Did it shrink in width, length, or both?
Mine shrunk in both ways.
Most colored gis do not shrink at all, but my 93 Brand Gold Label was blue. It was one of the few colored gis that shrunk (Atama and KVRA too) and I had to sell or give away. In contrast, there are only a few white gis that didn't shrink, and I'm exactly in between sizes.
My 93brand Standard only shrunk drastically if heat dried. But with cold wash and air dry, shrinkage is barely noticeable. My gripe with 93brand Standard gi is the color. I have green, the photos looked darked green but what I received is light green. The blue standard sold here in bjjhq last week is very dark blue, like bordering navy already.
Kwek-kwek, I too ordered the "classic blue" standard issue last week and when I received it I couldn't believe the color. I emailed them about it and they said that the warehouse had mislabeled navy blue as classic blue. They sent me a free shipping label to exchange the navy I received for a classic blue. Reach out to them! Haven't gotten the replacement yet but now I'm worried that it'll shrink up and be too small...
Hey wyc, thanks for the heads up. Imma thinking if i will just keep it or return. If yours fit right out of the package, you gotta stick to cold wash and air hung drying. Heat dry is a no no.

If you have other 93brand gis, be aware that the SI line are sized differently. I like mine though. It IS weird that the Standard Issue gis are the same price as the Hooks gis, despite the Hooks gis being higher quality.
