What why? It's a white gi. If you like it, wear it. You don't have to be a certain skill level to wear a certain gi.
Also, don't listen to the people that have an issue with beginners having better equipment than them. They are just jealous.

Not at all. There's no ranking associated with gi brand/style/color. I would say that it would look a little silly for a guy to show up with a $300 gi on his first day, but that's just because you should make sure you're going to stick with it before you invest a lot of money. This is a very good gi for a very good price. Go for it.

Yes the ultra lights stretch pretty bad. The pro lights are much better.
