This Gi addict, here, has always wanted to try out a Scramble gi. How is the sizing? I'm 6'2 @ 195 and (with the exception of my Tatami "Thinker Monkey"), all of my A2L gis (Inverted Gear, Shoyoroll, and CTRL) fit me perfectly. **The Tatami's body cavity and pants fit great, but the sleeves were just a tad bit too short.**

From Scramble's size chart, I'm not sure.... I guess I can get an A3 and shrink down, but a proper A2L always fits me better than a shrunken down A3. I've experienced this with both Shoyoroll and CTRL gis.

Any suggestions and opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Yea, I know shrinking down an A3 would be fine. I'm just trying to pick, like all of us, the best fitting gi possible.

Anyone had experience with Scramble vs SYR/Inverted/CTRL?

Where are these made? I bought the Scramble Athlite recently and ended up returning it cause it was made in China and was cheap quality. The older models were made in Pakistan with better materials.

A2 is the way to go. If you cold wash/hang dry, it won't shrink much :)

How do you guys find the fit of the pants? I have problems with the butt / thighs of gi pants be too tight restricting my movement. Any thicker bottomed people on here have any feedback? Thank you

I have the same problem. Fenom is a company that makes gis specifically for women. You can order different size top and bottoms. They also have Curvy sizes which is awesome.

I have heard that Fuji will let you get different size top and bottom but you have to call them. (I haven't done this myself so I'm not 100% sure.)

And last, you can find gi pants and buy them separately on lots of websites.

    Good luck!

A2 should be the way to go. Should be a little room to shrink if it's too long at first.

A3 and shrink to fit if you prefer a slightly roomier fit.
A2 and cold wash / hang dry if you prefer a more fitted feel.

Kysu, it was Athlite Gi that I returned, not the Athlete. That's why I wanted to know where these newer versions of the Athlete are made. And Rambo, it's not racist to say that they make cheap crap in China, It's just a fact... I Love Chinese people and Chinese food:)

I've never seen an "Athlite" gi by Scramble. Maybe that's where the initial problem is.

You said you returned the Athlite gi due to cheap quality. Scramble doesn't make an Athlite. You bought an imitation. I love every Scramble GI own. All great quality, even the standard issue one. I don't want you having people being afraid of what product they receive because you accidentally bought a cheap knockoff

So, 5'7", 155lbs - read several reviews that it shrank more than their other gi's... should I go for an A1L?

@Setanta - A1 and cold wash / hang dry or A1L and you'll have a bit of room to machine dry/shrink.

A3 will be a bit roomy but it's a better choice. I'd suggest shrinking down to fit from there.
