Personally I find it hard to get grips when I'm holding my wallet and keys

Title says “athletic shorts” not grappling shorts, so there’s that.
Do these run small? Big? True to size? Is the waist band elastic at all?
Hyperfly’s website says their shorts when true size, fit snug forore athletic fit, and to size up if you want a more relaxed fit.
