I have this gi. It's built like a tank and it's very comfortable. A killer deal at just 70 bucks!

is the sizing chart for the a4 and a5 correct??
i am 6'9 215 lbs, and i currently own this gi in an a5, the lengths are fairly good, however it is pretty baggy. If the sizing on the a4 is correct i think i may go with that to have the same length but for a skinnier person. please let me know asap so i can buy this before my size is sold out!! :)
    thanks!

I'm 6'00" and 250. I own two Fuji gis in A4 and they fit me just right length wise so that size may be too short for you...

Yes it does shrink quite a bit I forgot to mention that. I'm 5'10 200 lbs, and I got an A4 that pretty much shrank to A3 size. So I recommend to buy a size higher than usual and shrink to fit.

I own 2 Fuji single weave gis in A3 (white and blue). They tops both shrank a lot, I'm 5'7", 160 lbs, and the length of the sleeves and pants are perfect. They are a little baggy though, which is expected since they're A3.

This was the first gi I started with 3 years ago and it still has a lot of life left in it. I highly recommend this gi! Still no tears, snags, or rips after hours on the mat. If you are on a budget, and want quality, you should jump on this.

At the top right of the screen (just under log in information) make sure that the box labeled "In a different country?" is set to France. Maybe it's automatically set to US and you didn't notice.

So I am 6'3.5" 230lbs had this in blue in A4 fit great out of the bag then shrunk A LOT with cold wash and hang dry finally had to sell (too short in sleeve and CRAZY tight through the chest. Pants too snug and a wee bit short.

Also had black summer weight in A5, too big out of the bag, tried in vain to shrink, SEVERAL hot wash/hot dryers, had to sell due to WIZARDLY long sleeves and too baggy in the body, and a bit big in the pants.

Since they purportedly are cut identically, I am thinking I need to buy All around in A5 and shrink it to fit and would do well in A4 summer since they do not appear to shrink. BTW the summer weight is NOT a particularly light gi.

Going by the weight rarely helps me. Every manufacturer should just give the actual measurements. It doesn't take that long. And It's hugely helpful.

    Hi Al,
A3 might be a tad snug depending on how you wash it, since your weight is just a little bit higher than the recommended A3 weight of 200 lbs. I am 6'1" 180 lbs and the A3 fits me great, though a little baggier than I like, so it would fit you if you could avoid shrinkage, by washing cold and hang drying.
But if you prefer to wash your Gis on hot and/or tumble dry with heat, then you should bump up to the A4.

Get A4 and wash it on hot water and tumble dry. It should fit quite perfect after that. I'm 5'10 200 lbs and my A4 shrank to a perfect fit.
