Do or Die Hyperlyte Blue Gi

We've seen plenty of lightweight Pearl Weaves, but the HyperLyte's 350 GSM weave is on another level, consisting of a very tightly woven cotton pattern.

Everyone says this, but I was curious... what uses are there for a gi other than competition and training?

Well you can train in pretty much any gi you want, competition wise, you can't, most tournaments there's restrictions and requirements when it comes to your gi.

A1 if you want this gi but it might be a little short on you. Other gi companies make A1L which are for guys like us that are in between A1 and A2.

I'm 5'6 and 168 lbs. My frame is actually pretty lean and a 93 Brand A1 fits me perfectly and I dry it all the time. Do you think I would be an A1 in the Do or Die or an A2?

For reference, an A2 in Tatami is way to big.

Hey guys I bought the 93 brand all white gi that was on sale during rolling deals last week, I ordered an A1.5 and the gi that has arrived says A1 on the label. Is this the wrong size and should I send it back? Or do they A1.5s just say A1? Thanks, Cole

Yep, if you always cold wash/hang dry, this will get you a smaller/tailored fit.

Good morning. How does this compare to Break point flash kimono? Lighter? If so, what size. would be recommended for a gentleman who is 5'10" and muscular 193 lbs?

You can rock the A2, provided you always cold wash and hang dry (since your weight is at the top of the suggested range).

A2 and, if needed, shrink to fit (via 10 min intervals in the dryer on Medium Heat).

    2 Questions.
    1) Would this be comprable to the 93 Brand Charlie gi in terms of weight/construction?
    2) 6'1" 190# fall right between the A2 & the A3: A2 for weight, A3 for height. A2L fits great. Should I risk an A2 being too short?

1.) The jacket weave is very similar to the Charlie weave, same weight/feel.
2.) I am the same, 6'1"-6'2" and 185 lbs... the A2 Do or Die's fit right out of the bag, but over time they become juuuuust too short. I suggest grabbing the A3 and then deliberately shrinking to fit. After one or two washes, it'll be on point. Warm wash (inside out, to preserve color) and Medium Heat in the dryer.
