The only thing that makes it illegal for IBJJF is the interior lining. Other tournaments may not have this as a stipulation.

I have a 93 brand standard A3 and the pants are pretty big. The drawstring is very long. But it's the same with my tatami Estilo 5.0. I'm not a skinny guy. 5'10", 205 lbs., probably more now lol. 36 inch waist. What size do you recommend?
A2 and cold wash, hang dry. 93brand A2 is cut bigger than Tatami so it should fit.

You could do F2, just stick to cold wash and avoid high heat when drying (or hang dry). Or you could do F3 and shrink deliberately.
