Not sure what the hype is with the C Spec black out is. It is quite possibly the worst gi I have ever worn. I over heat in it about 2 minutes into training even in the winter. The top fits like crap too. The pants are nice though...

The Blackout is a heavy Gi by design. Other C-SPEC Gis will be lighter for sure. C-SPEC just means the sleeve paneling, slanted vents, skirt panel, angled knees on the pants, and the dipped drawstring ends.

As far as fit, it might just not be the proper size for ya. What's your height/weight? Possibly point you toward a different size. The only change for fit was on the taper of the pants.

I agree on the fit. Im 5’11’’ 170lbs and i got an A2. Even after trying to shrink down the jacket i feel like i’m swimming in it. The pants fit just fine. If i go with another gi i’ll have to try the A1L i guess.

And i have the same issue with their casual gi pants, A2 is bigger than i prefer but that just might be preference since i prefer a more tailored look in my old age.

5’ 11” 205 and have an A3. Pants fit great. Top is way too big.
