This hoodie is an athletic fit, so it will run tighter. You can go to the website: www.eidosclothing.com to check the sizing chart. It all really depends on whether you like a looser fit or a more athletic fit.

ArthurK, if you fit into a medium well, then a medium will be just fine and have a nice athletic fit. If you are on the bigger side of medium, get a large. Since these hoodies are 100% cotton with Gi material on the hoodie and pockets you can always shrink the large down a bit just like you would your gi.

Nick, yes, only the pockets and hood are gi material. We did this for comfort reasons. The sweatshirt itself is 100% cotton with reinforced seems to minimize any stretching or deformity over time and the gi material was manufactured from the best weaves, then retested to see what pattern felt most authentic to the touch while not getting stiff after a wash. Bottom line, we wanted this hoodie to be comfortable to wear, but yet be a reminder of the sport we love off the mat.
