93brand Standard Issue Shorts 2-PACK

Just picked these up and wanted to say that I was very pleased with the build quality and fit of the 93 "Gotham" shorts - I trust that these will be of the same quality and two sets of shorts for this price is an outstanding value.

Big thanks to BJJHQ and 93 for making these sorts of deals available!!!

93brand x Meerkatsu HELL HOOKS Rashguard

Love the artwork on this one!

Also, the photo of the guy with the leg from a mannequin is hilarious :D

93brand Standard Issue Blue Gi

Picked up the Standard Issue gi in black a while back, it's one of my favorites!

The A2H size is such a great offering for guys who are around 6 feet but more stocky than lean - the pants have the right amount of room in the legs/butt without being too long, and the jacket still fits very well.

Highly recommended, as the quality is indeed as high as any other gi bearing the 93 Brand logo.

Love this rashguard and pick one up every time I see it, already purchased with the expectation that it fits me as well as the Punchtown Apocalypse!

Jaco Rashguard 2-Pack (Long & Short Sleeve)

Just picked this up - 5'11", ~220lbs, grabbed the XL. I like the plain design, makes it less conspicuous for non-BJJ use :D

Also wanted to say that the checkout process for the site has improved drastically since the last time I used it (about a year ago). Ordering from Canada, and it's a 2 or 3-click checkout, no hassles, no issues. Well done, BJJHQ.

Venum Contender 2.0 Grey Spats

I'm curious how these fit with respect to length - 5'11". For reference, Scramble's XL spats are too long, their L is a little snug but the length is much better. Thanks!

PunchTown Apocalypse Rash Guard

Picking up my second one - construction and fit are outstanding. Noticed one loose stitch after using this 5-6 times per week (mostly gi) for about 2 years - no complaints about that kind of durability.

5'11", about 210-220, the Large fits very well - good compression fit, standard length in torso, and no pinching/bunching in armpits. If you have a long torso, either tuck into compression shorts or try a larger size.

One thing I love about this rashie is the slightly shorter sleeves - it's hard to explain, but once you feel it, you'll know how good it is!

93 Brand Kleos Gi

I like it - subtle contrast in the colors and thoughtful artwork. The Greek theme and 93 logo treatment are a cool idea, sort of sets this gi apart from all of their others, which is something you don't often see.

Scramble Urban Camo Spats

I picked up a pair of these in the XL size last time they were featured - I'm 6'0" and about 220lbs and found that they were a little long for my preference but still fit and wore just fine, the tiny bit of slack isn't noticeable while rolling.

I also have a pair of the Scramble Rainbow spats in the L size, they're still comfortable for me (I have big quads/hams/calves) but at the edge of the tight side of 'compression fit'.

Hope this helps you decide on a marvelous pair of Scramble spats!

Scramble Rainbow Spats

Thought I'd share my experience with Scramble spats - I picked up the Urban Camo spats from here a few months ago.

The recommendation was to lean towards a larger size, so I bought the XL. I'm 210lbs and a 34 waist with big legs (I have a terrible time with buying pants). The XL have ample room but are a little long - I'm 6 feet on the button with 'normal' leg length.

I went with the L this time, confident that the sizing will be closer to ideal...and if any pair of spats should be *extra* tight, it's these!

PunchTown Fracture Long Sleeve Rashguard

I have the Punch Town Apocalypse long sleeve rashguard, and it's the best one I've owned - the cut and fit are perfect, and the length of the sleeves is a great feature that you don't notice until you have one with sleeves that are slightly too long :D

Highly recommended.

Flow Kimonos Pro Series 2.0 Blue

Very nice looking gi - love the clean design.

Question for owners of gis with ripstop pants: how does the ripstop material perform versus canvas/cotton in terms of stretch/wash/wear, and most importantly, grips?

Love the artwork, the addiction to the deal deepens!

Just picked up the XL - I'm 6' and about 210, thought I'd err on the site of a bit loose rather than a bit tight - thanks for the info, all!

Do or Die Shield Ranked Rashguards

I agree from a purely aesthetic perspective - the design of the front, with the DoD logo, Hyperfly text, and elongated, rank-colored chevron is amazing, the back is a little over the top.

My thought about the text on the back was was, if you're doing BJJ right, nobody should ever see your back :D

Tatami Navy Estilo 4.0

"...replacing the sewn-on patches from the 3.0 with higher quality embroideries."

States that they're embroidered. I think the patching isn't over the top, but if you're looking to remove the embroidery, it's probably a huge, tedious amount of work.

On second glance, they do look as though they are embroidered patched, but still sewn on...I think that fully embroidering that size of patch would take an astronomical amount of time and effort.

Hopefully we'll get some admin feedback soon :D

Tatami Estilo 4.0 Premier Black Gi

I also have the navy gi and it's absolutely great.

I'm 6'0" 210lbs and the A3 is a very good fit. It's a little roomy, enough to be comfortable without being baggy.

Very little shrinkage, even in hot wash/hot dryer.

Meerkatsu's review here was quite positive:

Pony Grappling Club Gear X Meerkatsu The Juliet Rashguard

Hi there - I'm 6'0", ~220lbs with normal reach - I have the 93 Brand Mandrill and picked up an XL - it's a little long in the body and arms for me. It's roomy enough in the torso and shoulders.

If I was going to pick up another 93, I'd get a Large.

Hope this helps!

I would recommend going with the Small - I picked up the XL Urban Camo and they're a little long and not as tight as I'd like.

Just picked up the L in these and I'm confident that they'll be a perfect fit!

Kenka x Meerkatsu Tortoise Rashguard

Hey hey - I'm about the same size and find that the XL rashguards have a little too much material in the armpits, with sleeves that are a bit longer than I like. I've picked up 3 rashguards from here (Punch Town Apoc, Tatami Thinker, and 93 Brand Mandrill), and the L sizes in Punch Town and Tatami are perfect - good compression fit without being too tight.

Hope that helps!

Punchtown Deranged Rashguard

Hi there - I have their long-sleeve Apocalypse rashguard and love it - I'm 6'0", around 220 with a pretty thick build and wear the large - it's a great fit, snug without being too tight.

Build quality is good, had it for almost a year and it still looks like new. If I needed another rashguard, I would pick this up in a heartbeat.

The rubber on the bottom works well (for me) when I tuck it into my compression shorts. It grabs the boxers underneath and has only come un-tucked a few times in many dozens of rolls.

Hope this helps - it's one of the best rashguards I've had.

PunchTown Apocalypse Rash Guard

I hear that - I'm a bit shorter but also a bit more stout and don't have this rashguard ride up.

A bit of a beer gut and tucking the rashguard into my compression shorts (either under gi pants or board shorts) keeps everything in place.

5'11" here, between 210 and 220 - the Large fits perfectly. Length in torso is standard and doesn't ride up if tucked into spats or compression shorts.

PunchTown Fracture Long Sleeve Rashguard

Shame that it's short in the torso, the cut does fit a bit shorter in the arms by design though - a feature I love - keeps the cuffs of the rashguard from getting pulled by sleeve grips :D

5'11" 220# here, average height/torso/arm length, and this thing barely ever comes un-tucked.

I have the 93 Gotham shorts (might not be the exact same build) - the design and build quality is outstanding. They fit very well and move as you move. Just bought these and have no doubt that 93 will deliver the same quality.

I'm 6' and 230lbs and found that the 36 fit me extremely well, no pinching or bunching.
