Does anyone know if the patches are embroidered patches that are sewn on or that they are completely embroidered. I think this gi looks great but I'd take the patches off if they are sewn on embroidery patches. But if its all embroidery directly to the gi that would be a huge undertaking that would lead me to pass on this gi.

I have this in A4 and I'm 6'3.5" 235lbsathetic with wide shoulders and the fit is great, including pant and sleeves (touching top of foot and wrists). Non-restricting pants and jacket, which wraps to opposite hip. Favorite gi.

Anyone familiar with this gi think A4 would fit ok for 6'4" 235 lbs in terms of pant and sleeve length? (serious monkey arms/legs)

Hi I am 6'4 and 240 lbs, long arms/legs, new to BJJ, buying first GI, wondering will A4 be a good fit, or should I go A5? Thanks!

Hi was wondering your height/weight? I'm 6'4" 235 and am trying to decide A5 vs A4. I have A5 in summer weight version and the sleeves are a little too long and I feel its slightly too big in the pants and jacket, otherwise a decent fit so would be leaning towards A4 to be a little more snug (based on size chart weights, height is apparently the same) , however supposedly the all around shrinks MUCH more than the summer weight (which my did not shrink AT ALL) so while it might be ok to go with A4 in the summerweight I'm concerned A4 all around would shrink too much and should try an A5 insread. Argh! (although I've heard some all arounds do NOT shrink much either)

Awesome! Thank you for replying! I've been waiting to hear from someone similarly sized who has this gi in A4! Yay!

I dont think so. A4 fits me but if it's close. I don't see how it would fit someone 265 lbs. Shrinkage I cannot say long term as I bought this gi recently and have only worn it once and after a cold wash and hang dry no appreciable shrinking.

So I'm a little confused. I know they are embroidered, but are they embroidered patches that are made separately and then sewn on, or they are embroidered from start to finish?

I actually think they look great, but I'm a plain gi guy

I like the little circles. They can stay, haha.

Next problem: size. 6'4" 230lbs, monkey arms/legs, wide shoulders, blocky torso, somewhat athletic build. A4 or A5? Gi calculator says A4 but I don't know if I should trust it. A5 doesn't seem that much biggergoing by the measurements, and there's bound to be some shrinking. Anyone near those dimensions own this gi? Do they shrink much?

Ah embroidered directly. Ok. A pass then. Too bad they don't offer the "classic" patchless version anymore
