Chess-inspired BJJ artwork is great. Chess-inspired BJJ artwork that you can wear is even better. . . So we're sure you'll dig Tatami's "Chess Gorilla" piece, with commissioned illustrations by the talented Chris Burns.
Anyone who's been around Jiu Jitsu for a while knows of the "Human Chess" analogy, speaking to the shared mindset of these arts vis-à-vis carefully calculated moves / outcomes being determined by moves made several steps prior.
Burns' Gi-wearing primate is depicted carefully contemplating his next move, illustrated and colored with obvious attention to detail. The over-sized chest graphic along with all side panels, background art, and branding, is fully sublimated into the fibers of the fabric. Tatami has perfected their sub printing profess, so you're certain to see sharp details and full colors, all 100% immune to fading or peeling.
Multi-panel build, engineered to provide sufficient compression around the muscles that are most crucial to grappling. Generous torso length prevents riding up whether you roll in the Gi, or tuck your rashie into your board shorts, or make the bold move to go "full spats."

Anyone know if it's unisex or fits women well?
Designed to be more of a unisex fit. If your height/weight fall within a range of any of the sizes available, I'd say it should fit fine.
