How is the torso length?
Covers my the big velcro flap on my jaco shorts and I don't have a lny real issue with belly button escapes but it isn't as long as a scramble medium
About a week ago I bought these jaco shorts and part of the logo is already coming off. I only wore it once and washed it once and hang dried it. It shouldnt be falling apart already.

I'd say I'm right on the cusp of medium-large. Does this rash guard run small or could I make it by with the medium?
I'd say go with Medium. I'm on the cusp of L and XL usually, but the L fits me really well in this one.
