My favorite Gi. I'm 5'8", 175lbs with big chest and arms and the A1 fits me perfectly.
I have this Gi in white. It's gorgeous. It breathes very well. I am 5ft 9 and 185. Because I have a thick chest and back I an A3. The top fits perfect after i shrunk it, but I am going to have to get the pants tailored to get an inch cut off. They are not below my ankles now, but I like them a little bitter shorter anyway.

The A3 would be pushing it, yea, in terms of length. A4 is the way to go, for sure.
6'1" 185#, as usual right in between sizes. With the "tailored" fit of this gi, A2 or A3? If it's any help 93 Brand A2L fits great, Fuji A3 fits funky, Ground Game A3 OK, Tatami Estillo A3 OK. Thanks
STAN - Definitely go A3 and, if needed, shrink it a tiny bit. I'm 6'2" and 189 lbs, the A2 was juuuuuust too snug for my taste, and I prefer a tailored cut. The A3 was spot on and, after one hot dry cycle, would fit like a glove.
Are navy Gi legal for competition?
I believe they changed the rule this year. IBJJF will only allow white, black and royal blue Gis
Last I checked, yes they are legal. I have not heard about the rule change that @Vinnie mentioned, but I can't confirm or deny it as the only real way to know (their website is vague) is to email them with questions. Which I've just done now.
Budo Videos episode 71 stated new rule 8.1.3 white, black, or royal blue gis only. Navy is no longer legal.
Yup, just looked it up: 8.1.3. - Gis must be of uniform color. The following colors are permissible: white, royal blue or black. Gis with tops and pants of different colors are not permitted. Too bad
I'm about 5'6.5 and weight 155-160 with a 38 or 39" suit jacket size. Should I do an A1 or A2?

Absolutely the best Gi I own! Worth every penny... Definitely an athletic cut. I'm 6' and between 190-200lbs depending on when I'm competing, and an A3 fits me perfectly. If this was a different color, I'd buy another, but I already have the Navy one...
