Grips' Secret Weapon 2.$55
I'm right at 5'8 and about 150 pounds. Athletic body type. would I be better with an A1 or A2?
I am 6'5" 300lbs. Muscular with with a little extra padding. Would an A5 fit me?
Hi! I am 165 - 170 keeps varying a lot and 6 ft 2" what gi size would be ideal for me? Have long arms and pretty lanky.
I would go with A3 You could always shrink it a bit in the dryer if you need it to be a bit more snug. But buying to small, there is no reversal.
You'll need an "L" size due to your height, so I'd advise waiting for a 93brand, Inverted Gear, Tatami, and (some) DOorDIE Gis in order to get one of the 'in between' sizes like A2L.
Thank you. Do you know if there are any coming up in white?
This Gi in A3 won't fit a person who is 6'2"? The size chart indicates that A3 would fit a person 6'3" in height.
I'm new to buying gears as overall to bjj too. I weigh 120, and my height is 5'3" A0 it is right? Could this be suggested to beginners or should i look in other areas?
A0 would work great for you.
Im 91 kg and 197cm what should i get
A4 would be the best fit, but since you are tall/lean, an A3L would likely suit you better. That size is not offered for this particular Gi, you'd have to wait for an Inverted Gear or 93brand, etc. to get that particular size.
I'm 6' and 215...I went with an A3...should I have gone A4?
A4 if you wash and dry them. I have the blue one in A3 I'm 6'2" 175 and the pants fit perfect, the jacket sleeves are a tad short now but doable. Probably can't wear mine to an ibjjf event.
@Sam I'd recommend sticking to cold wash and hang dry with A3, and that'll get you a nice fitted look. If you prefer a looser or more relaxed fit (or intend to machine dry the Gi), you'll need an A4 - and in that case, email cs@bjjhq.com with your order number and desired change. As long as it hasnt already shipped, you can change the size.
I'm 5' 8" and a doughy 200lbs. What size will be best to squeeze my dad bod in?
I'm about the same size and you and wash all my gi's on hot. I have an A2.
I'm about 5'9 205 the top fits great but I have my pants hemmed I wear A3
A2 will be a rather snug fit if you're at 200 Lbs, but doable, as @jakubceefin said. A3 will get you more wiggle room (and IMO be more comfortable), though it'll be a bit long at first. Worst case, would need a little hemming for the pants length.
