Venum recently introduced a totally revamped line of BJJ Gis and frankly they've done an outstanding job, from the comfort and looks to fit and craftsmanship.$100
I am 5'9", 160lb. I got an A2 for my first Gi and shrunk it so it would fit better but the pants are still a bit baggie. Should I get an A1.5?
6 ft 3, 180 lbs... A3?
I'm 5'8"...172lbs.in decent shape....what size do you recommend...A3...or possibly A2.5
A2.5 is a good choice for ya.
At 5'9", when I was 190, the last A2.5 Venum gi I bought was way too small. At 180 its still too small. It was way too short on the arms and tight around my chest. It also shrunk a lot with just cold washing and hang drying. It might be good for you, as long as you don't have some crazy long arms.
5'7" and 152lbs. A1.5 or A2?
I recommend going for the A2 and using a warm wash to shrink it down to fit, rather than risk the a1 being too snug after a few washes.
I'm 5'8" and walk around 154lbs and I have 3 Venom Gi's and they are all A1.5 and fit perfect. Just keep in mind that I wash all my Gi's in cold water and hang dry.
Is this gi 100% cotton? I'm 6'2" 205, right on the edge of A3 and A4. If its going to shrink, I'm sure I'll be good with an A4, but all the descriptions on this gi are saying its pre-shrunk and will stay the same size?
Yes, the main fabrics are cotton, only exception being the interior yoke panel with sublimated graphics. While Venum does have this as pre-shrunk, that's not to say it won't shrink additionally if washed warm or dried with Medium Heat (my suggestion being 15 min. intervals). Personally I'd recommend going for the A4 and shrinking it down to fit.
Yep, that's what I thought and did order the A4. I was just a little concerned because this is a new gi with no reviews and Venum's site says "Pre-shrunk, this Venum BJJ Gi will remain at its present size" in its description, where I didn't see that specifically in their descriptions of other gis. So I thought they may have tried to do something different with the fabric on this one. As long at its 100% cotton I'm sure I'll be able to shrink it to fit. Thanks for your help, very much appreciated! :)
the stitching looks wobbly and why so many logos? Nice gi otherwise, I guess
6'1 225lbs... A4??
