Received my gi in only two days. Thanks for the quick turnaround! Seems like very high quality fabric and seems. Pants fit pretty well. Only issues I noticed when I received it were a bit of stitching undone on the back patch and what looked like a small blood stain on one of the knees that I was able to mostly hand wash out.

I'm an A2 in most sizes, though I have a reversible BP A3 that fits pretty well -- it seemed to have shrunk quite a bit. Any recommendations on whether to get an A2 or an A3?

Thanks Brandon, I got the A2! Also, I see it says the gi is IBJJF approved, but I thought there had to be a break in patches at the knee-line. Is that not the case? Just want to make sure I can sport this hot item in competition!

I'm 5'9, 150 should I get an A1 or an A2? I've heard these gis shrink, so I'm worried that A1 will shrink too much or A2 wouldn't shrink enough. For reference a redstar A2 is perfect for me, while a manto 3.0 A2 is too baggy.

I wouldn't recommend Break Point. Got the Acai gi and after several rolls all the patches tore off the shoulders because of 2nd rate sewing and craftsmanship i.e. a single row of stitching that was in some places directly on the edge of the patch. I also don't like to roll looking like a full bird colonel. Try double stitching your seems like Tatami and cutting down on the massive patches. My Acai is soft, but all in all the, construction and craftsmanship are below average for a competitive gi market.

My son has just joined bjj. I am researching for his first gi. He is slightly husky. I am concerned about the "slightly slimmer" design. I know he has bigger thighs and that is the area of my concern. These are his measurements (if that even helps) waist: 33 thighs: 21 1/2" back: 18" arm length: 22" leg: 34"
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

What's his height and weight? Gi's are sized in that manner.

Hi Krista, Sounds like you need to be looking for kids sizes. The adult gis may be a little long on him.

he'll fit the A-0 just fine and will give him room to grow since he's young and will still keep growing.

He tried on an A1 at his class and it fit pretty good. A little length but he's growing 1/2 to 1 in every 6 months right now. Found out tonight that it was a Fuji brand.

Aaron, will you guys have/ever had this in a blue or black? Such a great deal, but I do not like white Gis because the color transfer from other materials.

We had the blue already. Not sure if we'll get the black. If we do, it might be $120 instead of $110

'Slightly slimmer fit, slightly longer sleeves"

Do ALL Break Point fit like this? I have one and yes, the sleeves are a little long, but manageable.

The pre-2012 ones have normal sleeves. In the 2012 model, most folk will be a different size due to these changes.

I am 189cm and 89kg. I am thinking the A3 is right for me. Would this be right?

If you like your gi to fit on the tight side go A-3. but if you like it loose go A-4.

I bought another BP gi from here and it included everything. Even the washing instructions. Hope that helps.
