You're on the cusp of A1 and A2 (if you were 5 lbs lighter, the A1 would be perfect, but you don't want to risk the A1 being too tight after washing). So it's best to grab the A2 and shrink to fit. A warm wash will take out some shrinkage, with one cycle in your machine on Medium Heat if necessary.

I had a hard time shrinking the white one. Just one man's experience... If anyone wants a slightly smaller A3 in white that has never been worn, let me know. I'll sell it for cost (65 as I bought it here) plus whatever shipping is. Hope this isn't against the rules ??

A1L should be just fine post-wash. Cold wash / hang dry as recommended by manufacturer.

Curious as to what size to order. I'm currently 5'10", 190 lbs (will be shooting for 180). The A3 fit me in width, but not length even after shrinking. Any advice? I like the bare bones nature of this Gi, but would like to avoid wasting 70 bucks again *sad face*

A1 regular... will be too short. A2 is a better choice.

My constant Gi problem: I am 6'4" and 173lbs. That puts me squarely in the A3L on height and the A2L on weight. Which way do you recommend going in that situation? Is it better to choose a Gi based on weight or height when you are in the middle like this?

I own an A2 of one of these, and its alittle big after washing and drying. I'm 5'9" 165-72lbs, would a A1 fit me better?

It is not recommended but I've washed and dried this gi since I got it (6months ago). I'm 6'2, 160 pounds, got the A2L. I'd guess I lost 1-1.5 inches from the pants length, .5 in from the sleeve length, n maybe an inch from the skirt. Overall it stays pretty true to fit if you're like me and w/d gis.

A1 is perfect. A1F would probably work as well, but it'd be more of a fitted look).

Your height puts you in an A2 (an A1 would be too snug), though your height is more of an A1. That's ok though, just grab the A2 and give it a warm wash to take out a little shrinkage, then hang dry and you should be A-OK!
