Honestly can nobody take the initiative to spend one minute on Google finding a Tatami size chart for themselves? If you need to be spoon fed information that's that easy to obtain, how are you going to ever learn Jiu Jitsu?

I think the problem is that different brand gis fit differently, so people are looking for input on which size will fit better

um yea, I can do for myself but all 3 body types say a1 and a2, whether bjjhqs chart or tatamis and tatamis is only for the estilo. if i get it too small it wont fit and if i go one size over it wont shrink. soo... chill.

Seriously there's 2 sizing charts. How much help do you need. If it doesn't fit return it or better yet sell it to a teammate, it's not like your paying full price

Just a heads up: BJJHQ purchases cannot be returned for other sizes. So I give 'em some slack for wanting to be extra sure (that's why we give as many size charts/info as possible)
    :)

I apologize for not being clear I meant to return it for a refund and not a different size. And I completely understand not knowing but you can easily google search any gi and get a ton of info and feedback along with the 2 sizing charts being provided.

Check out the sizing link in the description, it will ask for your height, weight, and body type (long lean, stocky, average, etc.).

Plug in your numbers and it will give you the proper size :)

But in my opinion, yes A5 would be a close call.

I have it in white and blue, a3, bought when I first started to train. I'm at the border line between a2 and a3. ..it gets a little long and baggy during training.
